Electroacupucnture or ESTIM

Electroacupuncture is a modern procedure used in many musculoskeletal pain conditions, as well as for peripheral neuropathy (including tingling, numbness, or temperature changes), incontinence, fertility and more. Electro-acupuncture can enhance treatment results when used in the right cases.

Many people are familiar with the transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) units that are used at physical therapy offices and at home for pain relief.

Electroacupuncture is similar in that it sends a micro current through the soft tissue; however, it is a more focused treatment, as the current is attached the needles and its purpose is to stimulate the acupuncture points.

Electroacupuncture is only used in specific cases. Please contact your practitioner for more information regarding the benefits of this treatment.
