Our Acupuncturist
Jillian Wang, LAc.
Jillian completed her undergraduate degree training at University of Illinois at Chicago where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology. During this time, she worked at an outpatient physical therapy office, and volunteered at the #1 ranked rehabilitation hospital in the US, the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab (formerly Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago) where she assisted in treating spinal cord injury patients.
After moving to Southern California in 2010, she developed health issues due to prolonged stress. After seeing several specialists and having limited progress with medications, she turned to acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine to help her in the healing process. Through her own experience, she has found her passion for helping others heal through acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
Jillian graduated with honors from Yo San University with a degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, with a specialty in Orthopedics. She is currently obtaining her doctorate at Yo San University with integrative coursework in Women’s Health and Healthy Aging. She is licensed by the California State Board of Acupuncture, and nationally certified in Oriental Medicine by NCCAOM. While in school, she completed her externships at Venice Family Clinic and Wise and Healthy Aging in Santa Monica. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, pilates, traveling and spending time with her loved ones.
Our Story
At Acupremier Acupuncture, your well-being is our priority, and our goal is help you achieve and maintain pain-free mobility and lasting health.
Our care is focused around your level of comfort during intakes and treatments, and our guidance is customized to meet your needs, lifestyle and health goals. As primary care physicians, we are dedicated to working with all of your healthcare providers to reach the best treatment plan for you.
We have a passion for helping people reach their optimal health potential by using the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), where a holistic approach is used to return our body to its natural balance. By acknowledging that all living things are part of nature and that we are constantly interacting and adjusting to our environment, we are able to support our health and well being using the core principles and laws of nature applied to the body.
Acupuncture is one of the most commonly used modalities in Traditional Chinese Medicine in the West. While it is best known for pain management and fertility, it can be used in a variety of ways to help regulate hormones and support your immune health. At Acupremier Acupuncture, we focus on providing the best acupuncture based services and TCM care to our South Bay Community.
Our Vision
Acupuncture is one of the best tools for physical health in Traditional Chinese Medicine and would love to see everyone experience all of the benefits it has to offer.
Traditional Chinese Medicine's holistic approach helps us identify and address the root causes of symptoms, and is best used in preventative care as imbalances are identified long before disease sets in; however, is still very beneficial to use as a system to fight chronic disease.
We see Chinese Medicine as offering valuable insights into the body's intricacies, insights that conventional medicine is just beginning to explore. We help you feel your very best by teaching you sustainable, long-term habits that promote pain-free movement, enhanced overall health, and increased energy levels throughout your daily life. By adopting these practices, you can experience a significant improvement in your well-being and vitality as you move through every stage of life.
Mission: To inspire people to reach their full potential and experience life to its fullest.
Core Values:
1. Quality: We are committed to providing the highest quality care.
2. Respect: We understand that healing is an individual path and are here to offer support, guidance and wisdom. We respect your individual choices in your healthcare decisions and seek to empower you with the most up-to-date science combined with ancient wisdom.
3. Integrity: We are committed to helping you feel better and improve your overall quality of life. We will carefully consider your current conditions, work with you to develop a treatment plan that fits your needs.
4. Education: We are committed to providing you the tools to help you understand how to care for your individual needs. Just like different plants require different environments to thrive, we help you understand your individual needs.
Our Approach
At Acupremier Acupuncture, our approach to healing is simple. We believe in treating the body with long-term health in mind. We are focused on disease prevention and preservation of health. By addressing symptoms early on, we allow for the body to maintain movement and its nutritional reserves.
We believe that there is value in all different practices, but believe that the complexity of the system of TCM developed over centuries gives us the insight to understanding our physiology, how we relate to nature, and how to best support the natural process.
We also love to connect and work with other healthcare physicians to help you understand the benefits of every treatment. Most treatments have their value at the right time and place, and we are supportive of integrative healthcare.
